The Hoofbeat is revisiting the issue of stationing SROs (School Resource Officers) at CPS high schools. SROs are Chicago Police personnel.

During the 2022-2023 school year, an article was written that shared data regarding students’ views on this issue.

On February 22, 2024, the CPS Board of Education announced their decision to remove SRO officers from all high schools.
