Despite all of the focus on AP exams, many students successfully manage their workload and test preparation. Since his sophomore year, Senior Shahir Shah has taken the maximum AP course load. He says, “taking so many APs definitely forced me to figure out time management,” and that while it “may get overwhelming, the trick is to break studying down into smaller chunks throughout the day.”
On the other hand, Senior Michael Carlson opted for a light schedule to better prepare for the college application cycle. “I decided to take AP classes that I genuinely found interest in,” he explained, and how doing so gave him “the energy to actually enjoy senior year without feeling burnt out.”
