Since 2016, iPhones have become more popular among teens than Android devices. According to Piper Sandler’s latest biannual teen survey
The Hoofbeat conducted a poll to gather Northside opinions on Apple and Android products.

According to a survey of 45 Northside students, around 60% use iOS/Apple devices rather than Android, showing that, overall, the Northside student population prefers Apple devices. When asked to explain why they chose each brand, responses varied.
According to iOS users, “iOS has good vertical integration…and it generally has a more refined feel to it.” Another user said, “I liked how it was very smooth and easy to use…It goes well with my AirPods and CarPlay in my car.”
Android users explained the benefits of their respective devices, too. One user said, “Everything, the amount of storage, the different forms of phones, easy-to-decorate apps, and the ability to have a built-in pen.” According to another student, “It’s effective and has benefits that Apple doesn’t have, and it costs less.”
