**BOOK SPOILERS**
- What is the most recent book you’ve read, and how did you start reading it?
- “The book I most recently read is called Heart the Lover by Lily Kink… recommended by a member of my book club.”
- What’s the book about ?
- “The theme was regret — how people move on when they experience disappointment or when life doesn’t go as they expect it …This book follows a woman and her college boyfriend through their post-college life, after they ended up going their separate ways.”
- What character do you feel most connected to?
- “ .. the narrator and female protagonist of the story, Jordan. For me, her point of view brought up a lot of memories of my own from time in college, with the relationships she is depicted in, and how life happens when things are changing, and the fact you can not really do anything about it.”
- Was the book a slow start, or were you immediately hooked?
- “I loved this book from the beginning. I think because it was told from a female point of view, you get to know more of what she was going through. I read the book in probably 2 days. In the last 100 pages, I just cried through the whole thing. The ending was really good.”
- Would you recommend this book to your students? Why?
- “Yes, I would highly recommend it. I think students could read this book now and come back to read it again, 10 years down the road, to see if it brings up other connections or emotions as you read it again.”
- What star rating would you give this book, and why?
- “I’ll give it five stars. I think any book that makes me cry at the end, makes everyone have something to say, is one I’m going to recommend.”
