Study Tips:
- Find a planner that works for you: Planners are a great way to block out study time, write down important deadlines or dates, and plan fun activities. A physical or digital planner, like Notion, Reminders, Notes, and Google Calendar, can all help effectively time manage and build routine.
- Prioritize tasks: Focus on important or urgent tasks first, possibly a late assignment, project deadline, or a final in the first few days, before tasks due at later dates.
- Minimize distractions: It is important to find an environment that can help students thrive. Do not study with a cell phone nearby and close out all distracting tabs on devices. A great place to study is the Northside library, as it is quiet and comfortable.
- Sleep and Nutrition: For teenagers, 8-10 hours of sleep and balanced meals are crucial for optimal brian function and supports healthy development and mental well being.
- Exercise: Exercising for 30 minutes a day can improve memory, focus, problem solving skills, mood, sleep, and reduces stress by increasing blood flow and brain chemicals.

Support Recourses:
- Counseling Department: The counselors at Northside are always a recourse for students to speak to and are available in the counselors office.
