Northside’s Annual Cubby Walk took place on Thursday, April 25. One of Northside’s biggest fundraisers, Cubby Walk involves a 4.5-mile walk to Wrigley Field and a Cubs game. The school walks together in matching T-shirts designed by one of our very own students. This year, the shirt was designed by Evelyn Avila-Morena (Adv.601).
The festivities began with a pep rally. The school came together to play games and announce prize winners. The top fundraisers had chances to win free prom tickets, prized parking spots, and the opportunity to choose hallway music for a week.
The weather was perfect – sunny with a light breeze. The Cubs beat the Astros 3-1. Students enjoyed the exciting day. Emily Wojdyla (Adv.405) said her favorite part was “Watching the game with [her] friends.”
Ginny Driscoll (Adv. 403) “enjoyed seeing everybody enjoy themselves in a different environment.” The Cubby Walk was a massive success. Northside raised a large amount of money and had a lot of fun doing it.
