As the 2024-25 school year comes to an end, Northside is organizing a few senior events to give a nice send-off to the graduating class of 2025.

In order to attend these events, students must meet a few criteria first. For one, all debts to the school must be paid. Also, there is a fee for all 3 events.
On May 2-3, Seniors can attend an overnight trip to Six Flags for $115. A bus will transport students there and back and leave Northside at 8:30 PM.
On May 29, there will be a senior luncheon at the Kovler Lion House in Lincoln Park Zoo. It will cost $75 and last from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
The prom will cost $125 and be held at Galleria Marchetti. It will last from 7 to 10 PM, and payments can be made in person or online. Valet parking will be optional for $20 per car.

Q: Why do you think senior events are special?
Michael: I think that senior events are special because it is our last year together all as a class until we go our separate ways for college.
Q: What are your thoughts on the Six Flags trip, especially since it’s the first year NCP is doing it?
Michael: I’m extremely excited about the Six Flags trip and think that the tradition should continue in the years going forward.
Q: What could Northside do to make these events more accessible to seniors?
Michael: To make these types of events more accessible to all seniors, Northside could possibly hold a poll to determine what the students want to do and what dates work the best. This would ensure the highest number of participants.

Here is what Student Council member Eshrar Kazi (2025) had to say about the upcoming events:
Q-Why do you think senior events are special?
Eshrar-“I think senior events are especially special this year because we’re the first graduating high school class since COVID-19 to have had a ‘full high school experience.’ Everyone in our year has known one another for the last 4 years, and it’s important that we celebrate that!”
Q-What are your thoughts on the Six Flags trip, especially since it’s the first year NCP is doing it?
Eshrar-“I think it’s great that they’re doing it, but the timing of the event itself is terrible, especially for seniors. With it being so close to AP testing, I know a lot of seniors who would’ve loved to have gone but can’t because of that fact. I feel like since it’s the first year we’ve done it in a while, the admin didn’t really even know if we were going to do it, so hopefully they can plan it a bit better next year.”
Q-What could Northside do to make these events more accessible to seniors?
Eshrar-“I know that the cost of the Six Flags trip is quite expensive, especially with it being around so many other senior events. I think it’d be quite nice if they were able to put together a committee to fundraise it during lunch, like with the Disney trip. And also, I feel like instead of the school paying for the Disney trip, they should prioritize their seniors and celebrate them instead. I’d love for them to make the events more accessible for more people.”
